Quirm with Joshua

The door opens in the waiting room of an elegant bank with marble and that beautiful gleam that lots of money brings.

Moist adjusts his suits and spectacles before turning to find a clerk, "I have some new information to bring to the table. My accountant, Mr. Donovan has turned up to answer any questions."

"Oh... alright." Joshua has plenty of money at the moment, to his own chagrin, but he doesn't argue.

As they walk, Joshua sticks his hands in his pockets and just takes in the city. He looks like a traveller from another city trying to understand the culture of somewhere elese. "This city reminds me a tiny bit of Geneva somehow." Tiny bit. In the way that it totally doesn't.

"How?"

The Disc seems to be good at reminding people of places they know, Moist finds it odd.

"I think it's the kinda old-world-y aspect of it." Joshua pauses for a moment and shrugs. "Hey, I haven't been to many places. My parents weren't much for travel, and then suddenly I go from the middle of nowhere to... cosmopolitan Geneva two days after coming out of an interdimentional space. Maybe it's just... oh, I dont' know." He sighs. "I'm not very good at explaining things that aren't math or science."

"You're doing just fine. Then clearly you need to travel more, there's a lot to see. Its my favorite thing to do,"

Especially when he gets to choose when he leaves.

"You're probably right." Joshua grins, distracted for a moment by a brightly-coloured passer-by.

The passerby, who's a woman returning from the opera turns and smiles at him.

Then there's a yell down the street as a man on a galloping horse appears not caring about anyone in the way. There's a sword at his side and Moist pushes Joshua against the wall as guards appear, some on horseback and others running. Everyone points as a man with a determined look directs them to cut off the rider.

At the sight of this man, Moist grips Joshua's arm and curses under his breath in Uberwaldian, its a good language for curses.

Joshua doesn't say anything, just watches as the people run by. As much as he wants to know who the rather determined man is, he thinks that it's better to just stay quiet.

The determined-look man half-glances back towards the crowd, and where Joshua and Moist are. Impulsively, Joshua pulls Moist to him and kisses him. Just a couple in the background, move on everyone. Besides, it succeeds in keeping Moist's face out of the line of sight.

All of his focus is on Vimes until Joshua is kissing him and he forgets about Vimes. Joshua is a good kisser and just the right height.

He also knows how to think well in a crisis, Moist gets comfortable and runs his hand through Joshua's hair.

For a moment, instinct takes over, and Joshua just loses himself in the kiss, turning was was an impulsive distraction into something rather real.

The last of his nervousness falls off as he kisses for a decently long while. Long enough for the street chaos to have run off after whoever it was on the horse.

As they're in a shadow, no one pays them much mind and Moist stops to breathe as he hears the quiet,

"That was unexpected."

Joshua's a bit breathless, and doesn't exactly pull back, just... stops kissing.

"I... can be really unexpected when I want to be."

"Yes, you can, it suits you,"

Then Moist kisses him again, resting his hand on Joshua's hip.

Joshua kisses back, wrapping his arms around Moist.

It's... been a while since he's been kissed, and it's never been a guy. He might have a bit of a wtf moment later, but for now, he's rather enjoying it.

After another long kiss, Moist says,

"We should find someplace a little more quiet and comfortable."

"Yeah, it's, uh, probably bad to be kissing on the street like this." He finally pulls back, taking a shaky breath.

"Mn, not that bad. People are far more forgiving of kissing than thievery or any type of violence,"

Then he grins and gives Joshua another quick kiss before walking confidently into the street towards his hotel.

Joshua blushes for a moment, then follows Moist down the street. He's actually a bit surprised that people don't seem to care about the couple kissing in the street. Oh, well?

They did get a few looks as Quirm considers itself a civilized city, but they also weren't in the best part of town.

Moist's hotel isn't too far away and he heads quickly inside to his room on the second floor and unlocks the door.

He checks and it is actually his room, so he opens up the door. The room is basic hotel room, a nice hotel room and nothing about it would seem out of place for a normal businessman, "There, safe and sound."

Joshua just follows him, a simply innocent look on his face, as if he didn't even know that anything he did was wrong.

As they walk into the room, he leans against the wall. "Ok, so that was an experience." He's grinning hugely.

In Moist's eyes, he hasn't done anything wrong, he's done everything right and Moist closes the door and comes closer,

"A good sort of experience? One you'd like to have again?"

He's looking rather smug.

Joshua's grinning, a true smile, one that actually doesn't see the light of day too often.

"Very good sort of experience, actually. I definitely wouldn't mind a repeat." Whether he means the bank, dinner, or the kiss, well, who knows. Probably all three.

Its a good look on him and Moist reaches up to touch Joshua's face and run a hand through his hair,

"All you need to do is ask."

"Do I, now?" Joshua reaches over and puts a hand on Moist's shoulder. "I will keep that in mind." That's a teasing face.

"Or just act, that works as well. I enjoy your impulsive side as well as other sides of you,"

Then he drifts his other hand down to Joshua's hip and squeezes his butt.

Joshua blushes furiously, startled for a moment at Moist's touch, but he leans in for another kiss.

He's finding that he is rather enjoying this kissing thing. Especially with Moist. It's rather a rush.
