Moist isn't certain how this went from Joshua to Joshua, Helena and Claudia, but he knows its all of them now.

Bar had provided them all with appropriate clothing and trunks for the voyage and Moist was adjusting his cufflinks as he arranged their rooms in a slight Uberwaldian accent, "Yes, yes, two adjoining staterooms. That will do."

Then he sent a calculated nervous glance to Helena that made the steward smile, this young man clearly had more money than sense and needed a minder. The steward nodded to the rest of the party, they looked to be profitable, he would treat them well.

Joshua just smiles, his nervousness somehow coming across as a bit dopy and naieve. Oh, wait. Because he usually is.

He notes a couple more people filing in with little to no interest: A woman in a rather exuberant dress and a man in a suit and hat that have seen better days.

"Oh, for heaven's sake." Helena exclaims quietly, checking herself.

A man had entered, in a very proper suit and rather obvious moustache. "That man looks too much like Charles for my taste."

Claudia makes a face. "Well, we can always hope he doesn't act like your brother."
(Because he clearly doesn't look anything like the nice Charles.)

He looks over at their table and wiggles his mustache at Helena while the older woman returns Moist's bow,

"We'll just have to see and tomorrow we should get an invitation to speak with her.""

Joshua is a bit distracted by a man sitting at a table by himself in what looks like a uniform of some sort.

The man nods at Joshua, then turns his attention back to his food, but looks up every so often when he thinks Joshua isn't looking.

"Oh, bollocks." Helena swears under her breath. "He's even acting like Charles." Not a happy Victorian here.

Faaaails, not!Charles.
Claudia happens to notice the dude in the uniform glancing back up. "Dude, Joshua? I think he's checking you out."

"He definitely is and I think he might even be a sergeant. Though I don't know from which city guard, I'd have to see the badge," Their food arrives and Moist sips at his wine, the boat isn't completely filled which is nice.

A woman with a notebook enters and gives the entire room a calculating look and Moist tries not to groan, "Reporter."

"I... what? Why?" Joshua turns a bit pink around the cheeks. "I'm just sitting here!"

He turns his attention to the food, but does every so often glance up and across the room. Perhaps it would be good to distract the local law enforcement.

"Oh, don't worry about the reporter, darling." Helena grins in the woman's direction, getting a cheerful wave from her. "I've known more than a few reporters. If I can handle Nellie, I can handle anyone." Granted, she was one of the few people who actually figured out Helena wrote the books, but she never ever found out about the Warehouse.

"Be...cause I guess people who aren't your sister think you're cute?" She's biased in entirely the wrong way for that, though. Helena and Al can help!

Moist reaches over and ruffles Joshua's hair, leaning on him affectionately as the guard turns back to their drink,

"Yes, we do."

Joshua turns bright red, shifting a bit in his seat. "Oh, stoppit, you two."

Helena laughs, drawing a few eyes, but at the moment, it does seem to be quite in character. "Oh, darling, you are so adorable."
